Exercise for Children Will Keep Diabetes At Bay

December 12, 2006 · Leave a Comment

Isn’t it true that we need to make certain that our children live to a ripe old age?

Isn’t it also true that diabetes is among the greatest ailments of our children?

So don’t we owe it to our children to make certain that we are aware of the causes of diabetes and that we consciously and on a daily basis battle against it. In today’s hectic lifestyle it’s too easy to let the kids plop in front of the TV or DVD or Video game rather than encouraging them to get outside and run around and play … it’s also too easy to get take out rather than cook a healthy meal with vegetables and little fat … but in doing this aren’t we condemning them to a early death?

Statistics say that this generation of children are likely to die before their parents …. so shouldn’t we therefore make certain we do everything in our power to keep them healthy so that we don’t outlive our children.

Just keep in mind that good exercise for children will keep diabetes at bay.

ADHD Article – Where To Start on Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder

November 8, 2006 · Leave a Comment

There is so much information on the net about Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder that it can become confusing and overwhelming for anyone who is trying to get specific facts about the disorder.

Parents just want to know the low down on what their children will be experiencing and how to cope with it. As unsettling as it can be for the children it can be really frustrating for parents wanting to know how to best control their children and react to them. It often puts and inordinate strain on their relationships. I’ve had to work on my relationship as I’ve had to struggle not only with my child but also with my partner who hasn’t quite taken the time to understand the disorder.

The upshot of it is, that if you want to get through this as a family you have to understand what it’s about and be a unified in the way you handle it. You really need to be ONE for All and ALL for One!
